The biggest feature of the Maihime
lure is that it is "hard for fish to see through." It is effective on a wide range of fish species, including tuna, yellowtail, GT, and amberjack. It is often found to be most effective when the lure is close to the target fish. It is also effective in deep water when there is a feeding frenzy or when the target fish are near the surface. The best rod is one that is neither too soft nor too stiff in relation to the load of the lure during action. When there are waves and it is difficult to manipulate the lure, a slightly softer rod or a longer rod is better.
