POWER SHOOTER MAGBRAKE SYSTEM

Mag Dial

The dial located on the front top surface of the palming side does not get in the way when reeling or fighting.
By making small adjustments to the dial, you can quickly adjust the braking force.

Magnetic Brake System

The electromagnetic induction magnet brake system generates braking force that corresponds to the spool rotation speed throughout the entire cast. A large neodymium magnet is placed, allowing fine adjustment of the braking force. When the field or lure used changes significantly, the braking force can be greatly adjusted by changing the number of magnets installed.
*The magnets installed at the time of shipment are
105XH → 2mm thick x 7 pieces

Extra high gear (dynamic gear design)

The extra high gear is comparable to a high speed spinning reel, allowing you to freely control the lure action. In addition, the dynamic gear design ensures high efficiency winding and durability even in the extra high gear.

MAG model dedicated spool

The BHL spool, designed specifically for jigging, has been made wider to prevent loss of casting distance due to changes in winding diameter when casting.
An aluminum plate has been attached to the side of the spool to stabilize the output of the electromagnetic induction brake force.
In addition, a thumbing space has been provided on the palming side, allowing thumbing control at the outermost diameter when casting or fighting.

Drag lever for casting models

The drag lever is low in height and has a large arc on the outside, which means that the line does not easily get tangled around the lever even when hitting a crosswind during casting, allowing you to cast with greater concentration.

Round Bridge

The bridge is the largest in the BHL series, preventing contact with the frame when the line expands immediately after casting, minimizing damage to the line.

Semi-waterproof drag

A waterproof cover is attached to the spool and a waterproof rubber ring is attached to the drag disc, and a new waterproof system is adopted that boasts high waterproof performance while maintaining excellent spool freedom when winding.

Carbon drag washer & stainless drag disc

The combination of carbon and stainless steel provides smooth initial action and easy drag power, but generates a lot of frictional heat.
The carbon washer is coated with Alcon grease, which has a high heat resistance, and the drag disc is made of a composite aluminum base with stainless steel for heat resistance and heat dissipation.

Dynamic Gear Design

The Dynamic Gear Design is an evolution of the Mountain Module Gear, which realizes powerful winding efficiency by increasing the module. The gear top shape has been revised, a special hob design, and the teeth surface has been finished by craftsmen, resulting in a powerful SOM gear sound with improved winding efficiency.

2 bearing pinion gear

The pinion gear, which is paired with the drive gear with cut teeth based on a new design concept, is designed with a dual-bearing design consisting of an angular contact ball bearing and a radial ball bearing that are resistant to lateral pressure, which reduces 3D vibration of the pinion gear and transmits the powerful rotational force of the handle to the spool.

Angular contact ball bearing with waterproof cap

Angular contact ball bearings, which are strong against lateral pressure, are basically open-designed, so they are susceptible to seawater intrusion and are strong, but their durability is inferior to that of sealed types.By
installing a rubber cap that encases the angular contact ball bearing, we have achieved a dramatic increase in durability by preventing seawater from entering from the inside of the reel.


 

Newly designed bearing holder

The 12mm inner diameter one-way clutch bearing, which contributed greatly to the compact design, boasts a stronger reverse load than the conventional 10mm inner diameter two-piece in series. A
large-diameter radial ball bearing and a waterproof oil seal are placed to sandwich this one-way clutch bearing. This
is a newly designed next-generation bearing holder that exhibits strong reverse load, powerful winding, and strong waterproof performance.

Lead Design

The gearbox has an irregular outer edge that allows you to intuitively grasp the lever position without having to look at the reel.

Variable length bending handle arm

The previous model was changed from 110mm to a short 98mm, allowing for compact and quick reeling.
Duralumin material is used, and slits are provided in the arm to increase strength from the material and structure perspective.
*98mm is recommended, but the handle shaft hole for 85mm is also available. If used with 85mm, the preset knob and handle arm will interfere, so please purchase a height adjustment washer sold separately.

Super Spool Free

When the spool is free, two small diameter bearings support the spool, and when reeling, a large diameter ball bearing slides to firmly support the spool. A
completely new spool free system that utilizes the characteristics of the lever drag has been adopted to achieve a casting feel that does not strongly feel the rotational inertia.

Anti-reverse mechanism

When the handle rotates in reverse, which the one-way bearing cannot prevent, the anti-reverse mechanism (reverse stopper claw) comes into action to prevent the handle from rotating in reverse.
